5 weeks

JHSE,

You have been notified of the dates for holiday practices as well as additional practices after March holidays.

Do make full use of those practices :)

(For those who are complaining about extra practices consuming much of your time, do think of how your seniors have a heavier workload than you and yet are still willingly coming for practices without a word of complaint. I'm sure you can spend less time on your own leisure and devote it to SE.)
______

For the unaware, uninformed, and the unobservant, Cheryl our creative director has put up a sign on the SE whiteboard counting down the number of weeks we have to SYF.

We're currently at 5 weeks.

If you think it's a very long time, think again. 10 weeks have already passed since school reopened. 5 more weeks is an extremely short a period of time.
______

For the other bunch of unaware and uninformed people, the fining system in SE has been slightly changed.

In view that the DM going around to check every single person for pencil/scores/nails every practice is not very time efficient, we have put in place a new system: peer checking.

Peer checking, as the name suggests, means that desk partners are to check each other for pencil/scores/nails.

Failure to have pencil with eraser and stuck scores on your stand at the stipulated time of practice as well as nails less than 1mm will result in a fine of $2 and 2 hours of service.

However, if it were to be discovered that someone is without a pencil/eraser/stuck scores/nails not cut, both the person violating the rule AND his/her desk partner will be fined double - that's $4 per offense per person.

诚信勇忠。

Also, please do pay your fines to the DM on the day you are fined itself.
______

There's only 5 more weeks. Please don't wait until it's too late before you start panicking.
